so i managed to kill my phone, my camera and my umbrella within 24hrs
3rd time @ ageha last night once i saw the lineup
was up @ water bar the whole time
water bar has a pool
we were right next to it, mucking around and pretending to push each other in
at one point, i think S was carrying me and pretending to throw me in [i don't remember exactly..]
he slipped
we both fell in
unfortunately, it was not a heated pool
fortunately, it was an ABSOLUT DISCO pool
always been curious about that pool..
3rd time lucky
my phone and camera were in my jean pockets at the time
since phone + camera = my life;
i am quite possibly one of the saddest persons around right now
and as if fucked up electronics weren't enough to mess up my day, K decides to PK and break my muji umbrella

aka the omg-we're-plagued holiday: first keisuke decided he couldn't make it, then simpson decided he'd prioritise his dancing over eating (!!!!) and give the trip a miss, then there was the whole issue with michelle's name being different from that of her passport, then i.. almost went to the airport without my passport D:
not good signs, any of the above
the trip turned out great nonetheless.
SO i returned bloated, fatter, very 熱気/'heaty', and again, sleep deprived [what's new?]
like i mean, here's what we looked like BEFORE

i kid you not, that was only 2.5days worth of damage..
but i loved it anyway
it's funny but recalling the trip, we all felt a certain sense of familiarity with the area, being of Chinese descent of course
the dirty streets, the smog, the abundant food stalls
it felt more like a return to our respective origins [hong kong/china/malaysia/so on..] than a holiday to a foreign country
for one, it was so easy to communicate and get around
if anything, i wonder if Taiwan is more 'Chinese' than China itself.. since so many of China's historical artifacts were demolished during its Communist era..
in brief, we ventured 臺灣民主紀念館, 霞海城隍廟, 故宮博物院, 士林夜市, 九份, 台北 101
not bad for those first 2.5 days, i think?
especially enjoyed 九份 [can totally see it as the stage for 千と千尋の神隠し], 士林夜市 [if only there weren't so many people...] and the reflexology massage i managed last minute @ the airport [masseur told me i had liver issues from my late nighters (and i suppose alco) ARGHH]
though there were still a few i didn't get to tick off my list.. 龍山寺, 台北孔廟 to name a couple..
また今度ね！

sososo glad to be back
not that i didn't like Taiwan.. i loved it, and am really looking forward to going back again, and staying longer next time [stupid me for thinking 2.5 days was enough..]
but it's painful to realise exactly how glad i am to be back in my dorm room
how much it defines 'home' for me

- there probably won't be much study involved
- why did i put myself up for another 6hr break?!?!?!
- i imagine i will be getting very bored .. and spend the remaining five days moping over Japan

i know i have a reputation for f*d up sleeping patterns
my body clock has adjusted itself so that i end up dozing at 3am/4am
thank god it's fall now and i no longer see the sun rise when i go to bed
and i'm so used to waking up at 3pm.. the day after clubbing all-nighters
haven't been bothered to adjust my sleeping because really, i have early starts only twice a week anyway..
but things have worsened, if that even makes sense
missed my 1pm class today..
because i slept in
ARGHHH!! 1pm!! 自分にとってもありえない!!!!
and i only woke up because... i got woken up by a call.... at 1pm .....

日本での留学生生活、
四ヶ月しかないんだ。
先週の合気道部活の練習に行って、いろいろ習ってきた。
なんとなく進んでる。立ったままの受身も初めて習ってて、「半身半立ち」というの技、たぶん。
って、今からいろんな技も習えるな感じをする。基本的な技も出来たら
「後どのぐらい日本にいる？」先生が聞かれた。
心ならずも、「後.. 四ヶ月だけなんです」
先生、先輩達が、びっくりされた。
昨日、corneliusのライブを見に行った。二度目は、また、すごかった。
rijのセットとちょっと違ってて、よかったー
rijに出てきた曲を聞いたとrijを思い出した。
でrijに出てこなかった曲を聞いたらも、懐かしい気がした。
特にmonkeyは...聞くとなんかビビッドな記憶が浮かんだ。
cityrailの電車、ラッキーで席が空いてた。
学校から帰る道。ディスクマンを聞いた。その青くて、パナソニックの、何年前にもう壊れちゃったのやつ。
