...it's Christmas Day and you dream about missing an 8am shift at Myer
*shudders*

i felt like i was in a social drought over the past week.. what with those crazy 8am starts i barely had time to catch up online .. let alone DO something :(
i was actually following a TVB drama because i was at home that much.. o.O

so thank you cat for springing up on me yesterday & giving me a surprise visit so i didn't have to lunch by myself ^^

scenario: kazuki is being taunted by marie & michelle for the inadequacy of his fork/spoon-salad-tongs-skills. kazuki is "affected" by this..

i don't know.. i'm not feeling particularly jolly at the moment.

maybe it's the shifts i'm working. (9 days consecutive, occasional 8am starts and 8pm finishes)
maybe it's the fact that the only real 'kids' in the family are leaving for HK tomorrow.
maybe because i'm getting too old for it.
maybe because i'm finally seeing Christmas as the overhyped consumerist activity that it really is.

4 days, 3 nights. beachfront location. gorgeous weather (the best we've had at least :p)
overall.. a brilliantly relaxing bumming/bonding session.. and an effen good time :D

off the top of my head (photos still on kit's ibook because i took too many for my memory stick to handle.. pfft as if 128mb capacity has anything to do with it..)

• flying ants (and watching in awe as the men of the house went around swatting them with diet coke bottles :D)

• kit at woolies .. hey let's get 3 shower gels *10 mins later* you reckon 3 shower gels is enough? [each bottle contained 75+ washes...]
• hunt pigging out on mi goreng causing noodle spillage on himself and the table.. *5 mins later notices noodles on table* oOoh how come there're noodles on the table?? *proceeds to chomp*

i received an early Christmas present in the mail ^^

...Ms Mizoi from YNU emailed me to say that due to smaller than expected numbers of enrollments of international students at YNU for 2007 they should be able to take 4 UTS students into the dormitory, so they would accept all four of our applicants...
I'm assuming that this is confirmed from YNU and they will not change their mind again, but as you know, we have no control over what the host universities do. Ms Mizoi said she'll send 'official notification' by the end of January...
